Data Recovery is difficult and the result is not guaranteed. Depending on the condition of your hard drive and when things were deleted will affect the success of the mission. At SeeCureIT we have professional tools that have a high likelihood of getting all your data back.

When you delete something from Windows, your file goes to the recycle bin. When you empty the recycle bin the file stays exactly where it is; the location is just deleted from the table of contents on the hard drive.

Over time the files get re-written with new information, so if you have a full hard drive the chances of the file being written over in a short time is quite great. I recommend that all hard drives run at maximum 75% capacity - any more than that you need to invest in a second hard drive.

Hard drives have a shelf life. They do not run forever. That is why it is very important to back up your data often. The more you use your computer, the more often you should back up your data. If you hear strange noises from your hard drive at any point, like a strange fast clicking, or a loud hum. Turn off the computer and call a professional. If your hard drive has died, the data might still be accessed so don't panic.
